The individually designed and constructed lab web site is the lab’s outlet to the world. LabScout LIMS includes a drag and drop web-editor that allows the lab administrator to easily change public content (such as research interest and funding sources), add additional links and subpages, or modify the interface to meet personal or organization needs.
Publications and lab members are automatically matched and linked. All updates are reflected on the public web site in real-time.
Equipment management allows users to book instruments and report problems on them. It also allows users to look up on any information about the instruments.
Received orders are linked to lab inventory. Convenient tools are provided to manage lab reagents and documents. Various reports can be generated on the order records.
The Lab PI is kept abreast with grant usage by viewing grant summary, expense reports, allocation categories and much more. Grant balance is calculated automatically according to expenditure history. The graphic UI makes grant information clear at a glance.
Members not only receive updated lab schedules but also are able to conduct publication discussions, or upload slides, documents, and other related materials prior to meetings.
Experiment records allows electronic data-entry, storage, and retrieval for lab experiments. To maintain data integrity and security, all documentation can be protected (locked by lab PI) to prevent data falsification, plagiarism, or other intellectual property violations.
The Project Leader can simultaneously notify all lab members of newly assigned tasks. A task priority level informs lab members of the level of urgency and prescribed time limits. Task completion and feedback are available with full security.
